What sets Paws N Recreation apart from other dog training services in Las Vegas, is our commitment to small scale, intimate and professional dog training. We don’t believe in large scale operations that lack qualified staff and place their focus on quantity rather than quality. We don’t confine dogs to an isolated kennel run or an overly crowded dog daycare room with slippery floors and loud atmosphere.
We ensure dogs are allowed to be dogs, integrating them into our active lifestyle that satiates a dog’s needs. We immerse them in our passionate pursuit of dog training centric activities.
Our program is operated by Paws N Recreation’s owner, professional dog trainer, Angie Nerviani ADT-IAABC. We operate outdoors and in public settings, implementing basic obedience training every moment they spend with us. We cover door manners, impulse control, loose leash walking, polite greetings and reliable recalls. We hike up to 5 miles a day, offering where permissible, off leash romps. We never have more than 3 dogs in our care at a time, ensuring they receive individualized training, attention and interaction.

How long will it take for my dog to become trained?
Paws N Recreation LLC provides professional, welfare‑focused dog obedience training designed to build skills, cue responsiveness, operational experience, confidence and and ongoing training ambitions, as well as continued owner support when a board and train program is complete. We consider it unethical to guarantee permanent results, specific timelines, or client satisfaction. Long‑term success depends substantially on an owner’s commitment to follow‑through with the program’s foundational work. We deliver ongoing communication, practical recommendations, and adapt our approach to help you and your dog make meaningful progress.
What we promise
To follow a welfare-first approach, prioritizing your dog’s physical and emotional well‑being. We will not push dogs beyond safe limits or force them to endure unnecessarily difficult training concepts or drills. We provide professional, structured sessions, introduced appropriately for each dog’s stage in training and unique learning style. Rest, hydration, and mental breaks are integrated into sessions for successful outcomes. We plan outdoor activities to build confidence, obedience and impulse control. We are qualified to train and work with high‑drive dogs, acquiring and maintaining certification that demonstrates our commitment to ongoing education and showcases our unparalleled obligation to excellence.
What we can’t promise
Permanent or guaranteed results; behavior is not static, therefore it is neither predictable nor guaranteed. Learning is an ongoing process, influenced by many variables such as environmental change, schedule variation, wellbeing and every dog learns and progresses at their own pace. Some dogs may show a new behavior after a single session; others will require repeated practice and reinforcement over weeks or months, due to the unpredictable nature of learning and behavior, it is unethical for Paws N Recreation LLC to assure permanent behavior change or mastery of skills after a set number of sessions or timeframe. Successful outcomes rely heavily on owner participation. Without owner participation and investment in the training process, the behaviors learned will not reliably transfer to the owner and home environment. At the completion of the selected program, owners should expect to establish a consistent training routine to implement the concepts covered within the program. While we aim to provide competent, professional services, we will not promise client satisfaction, as it is considered unethical to do so.
Factors that affect outcomes
Inconsistency will undermine learning; once the program is complete, it is important that the owner commits to ongoing practice and establishes daily routines. Regular, short practice sessions at home accelerate skill retention. Sporadic practice slows progress. When the service is completed, and if the owner does not continue meeting their dog’s needs, this will influence the return of disruptive behavior and deteriorate the skills the dog learned. If the dog isn’t receiving adequate exercise, training, enrichment, playtime, social interaction and appropriate rest, this can exacerbate undesirable behavior. A lack of environmental management or failure to implement safety measures can result in the rehearsal of unwanted behavior. We encourage owners to initiate prompt communication in order for Paws N Recreation LLC to coach them, and when necessary, make effective adaptations to training. Follow-through on recommendations and a continuous effort to implement suggested training will make a beneficial impact on progress.
Do you work with aggressive dogs or dogs with complex behavior problems?
While Angie Nerviani ADT-IAABC has an extensive background working with aggressive dogs or dogs with complex behavior problems, and is qualified to work complex cases, she is no longer doing so. If you are in need of help for aggression or another complex behavior issue, please contact Paws N Recreation LLC directly here. A number of resources are available, and we will provide you with the appropriate referrals for your support. If you feel you have exhausted all options, you can submit an inquiry using our contact form, provided with the subject line “Complex Case”, and a careful review of your situation will determine consideration.
How old must my dog be to enroll in the Board & Train Program?
We prefer our to clients to sign up their dogs for early exposure to training concepts, proprioception, cooperative toy play, safe social interactions, and learning life rules to enhance development. That’s why we accept puppies 16 weeks of age and older, to give them an optimum head start. If your dog is older than 16 weeks, that’s okay! We tailor the program to your dog’s current learning stage regardless of their age.
How old must my dog be to enroll in Boarding or the Day Training Adventures program?
We require dogs be 8 months of age and older for these service options.
Do you accept reactive dogs or dogs with sensitivities?
At Paws N Recreation we evaluate each dog on an individual basis. We do our best to accommodate dogs that have quirks and sensitivities, and dogs that may have done poorly in large scale board and train environments. Reactive and sensitive dogs can greatly benefit from our dog training programs. Our dog training is designed to offer controlled structured outings and build focus around distractions, teach impulse control, and leash skills. We want to help your dog build confidence and succeed at basic obedience skills in all environments. What is required to sign up for the Board & Train or Our Day Training Adventure Program?
Our programs are best suited for athletic, high energy working breeds without major dog-dog issues or human directed aggression. Dogs with a history of serious resource guarding, repeated escape attempts, inability to crate, excessive vocalization, or biting incidents are ineligible. If you have a dog with minor sensitivities such as minor handling issues, timidness, and or slight dog reactivity and would like to see if we can accommodate, please fill out an application. A follow up email will be sent to schedule an in-person evaluation to assess whether the Board and Train Or Day Training Adventure program is right for you and your dog.
Once Paws N Recreation LLC has accepted your dog for a program, it is required to have current proof of vaccination for the dog’s age. A certificate of good health and negative fecal test must also be on record and it is highly recommended your veterinarian perform an orthopedic evaluation to determine structural health and clear your dog for physical activity.
Dog’s that need administration of oral medications and or topical treatments are accepted, so long as it does not compromise the health of others. Complex medical care may require prior veterinary authorization. It is the owner’s responsibility to supply Paws N Recreation with properly labeled medication with accurate dose information, along with detailed instructions for the proper administration of the prescribed treatment. Additional fees apply.
It is also the owner’s responsibility to provide food, detailed feeding instructions and inform Paws N Recreation LLC of any necessary supplementation. If owner fails to provide food and or feeding instructions, Paws N Recreation LLC will default to using on site food; meals will be carefully measured and offered during morning and evening hours.
In the event a dog becomes ill or injured, we will seek veterinary care and contact the dog’s owner. Owners must provide emergency veterinary authorization and a primary vet contact prior to boarding. Veterinary expenses are the owner’s responsibility. We reserve the right to refuse or end boarding for any dog whose behavior or health compromises safety or the health of others, which will require immediate pickup. Rates and policies are subject to change; current terms will apply at booking.
Do you offer only boarding?

Do you offer in-home pet sitting?
At this time, Paws N Recreation LLC does not offer drop in care or in-home pet sitting.
Do you operate in all weather conditions?
Paws N Recreation LLC will offer services in most weather conditions including, rain and snow. However, when conditions become extreme, such as snow storms, flash flooding risks, poor road conditions, lightning storms, and temperatures higher than 85 degrees Fahrenheit, most outdoor services will be postponed until weather is suitable for outdoor activity.
For dogs enrolled in the Board & Train and Day Training Adventures Program during the summer months, physical exercise is scheduled for cooler offsite locations or appropriately substituted with indoor activity.
What areas do you service?
We offer our dog training and dog boarding services to those within or around Mountain’s Edge, Southern Highlands, and Summerlin. Owner’s that reside out of our listed service areas may discuss self drop off and pickup options.
