Meet the Owner
Angie is the owner-operator of Paws N Recreation LLC, serving Mountain’s Edge and surrounding communities in Southwest Las Vegas. An accredited dog trainer in good standing with the IAABC, she completed the Aggression in Dogs Master Course and is Certified in Canine Wilderness First Aid through Pet Emergency Academy. With 20 years of study in canine behavior, Angie has broad animal-care experience — from horses, cats, goats, and chickens to exotics like monitor lizards and tarantulas — but working with dogs has always been her greatest passion.
With more than 12 years of hands‑on experience in canine behavior consulting, Angie has worked directly with owners managing aggression, fear-based behaviors, and separation anxiety. She has guided individualized behavior modification plans, implemented counterconditioning and desensitization protocols, and coached owners in effective management and prevention strategies to improve dog‑human relationships and safety.
Although Angie has stepped back from formal behavior consulting, she remains dedicated to supporting handlers and owners focused on sport and working roles. She now concentrates on advancing high‑drive dogs through structured training for performance and real‑world application—helping teams set clear goals, design progressive training plans, and translate skills from the field to competition and everyday environments. Her approach emphasizes practical, evidence‑based methods, clear communication with handlers, and measurable progress toward each team’s objectives.
She participates in NACSW with her dog Sparta, and has been learning to compete in ringsports, specifically, Mondioring. She plans to add an additional working dog to her home in 2027 to officially pursue and compete in Mondioring as well as work toward becoming an explosives detection dog team.
